APC UK Congratulates President Bola Tinubu, Nigerians, Says Better Days Ahead

The All Progressives Congress (APC) United Kingdom Chapter has again reinstated its assurances to Nigerians as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu assumed office a few hours ago. In a congratulatory message to the Nigerians and the President immediately after his inauguration, the ruling party’s chapter in the UK said the hope they voted and worked for is here and Nigerians irrespective of their ethnicity and religion should expect the maximum benefits of the new administration.

According to the statement made available to the press in Abuja by the publicity secretary of the party in the United Kingdom, Hon. Jacob Ogunseye said the efforts of Nigerians to ensure good governance through political participation in the last few months were noticed and will not go uncompensated.  “The administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will transform Nigeria into the reality of its dreams through transformative economic development policies, bringing normalization to the security situation of the country and arresting the growth of unemployment among our youths.

Ogunseye said the plan of President Bola Tinubu to establish a bold and assertive policy that will create a strong and yet adaptive national security architecture and action to obliterate terror, kidnapping, banditry, and all other forms of violent extremism from the face of our nation will herald peace to our nation and enhanced productivity and national development. Living to his words is one of the qualities to distinguish Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu from others; Nigerians will be greeted by robust actions and statements that will rekindle the hopes and aspirations of the common man in few days.

As promised, while congratulating the President and his administration, the statement referred to one of his cardinal points to deal with youth unemployment and women’s emancipation saying these set of the population sector will be empowered to boost the economy and rejuvenate Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu had promised to embolden and support our young people and women by harnessing emerging sectors such as the digital economy, entertainment and culture, tourism and others to build the Nigeria of tomorrow.

President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration will “build a new Nigeria, especially for our youth, where sufficient jobs with decent wages create a better life and manufacture, create, and invent more of the goods and services we require. Nigeria shall be known as a producers not just of consumers. The administration will boost the manufacturing sector to increase export more and reduce imports thereby strengthening our currency and improving our international trade capacity”.

Tinubu has promised to “continue in assisting the ever-toiling farmers, through enlightened agricultural policy that promotes productivity and assures decent incomes, so that farmers can support their families and feed the nation”. The party in the United Kingdom prayed for the new administration and urged Nigerians to work together to achieve the best for our dear country. The statement concluded.

Oronsaye Report vs Dev Commissions in NigeriaThe proliferation of development commissions across all six geopolitical zones directly contradicts the recommendations of the Oronsaye Report, which advocates for streamlining and reducing government agencies to enhance efficiency and cut costs. These commissions, each with its own executive leadership, board members, and administrative structures, further expand the already bloated public workforce that the report seeks to curtail. Instead of consolidating existing agencies and eliminating redundancies, creating these commissions increases bureaucratic overhead, leading to additional financial burdens on the government.Furthermore, establishing multiple development commissions encourages duplication of functions and inefficiencies rather than ensuring targeted regional development. The resources allocated to these commissions could be better utilised by strengthening existing institutions and improving inter-agency coordination. By disregarding the principles outlined in the Oronsaye Report, the government risks perpetuating an unsustainable governance structure, prioritising political expediency over fiscal responsibility and institutional effectiveness.Do we need multiple development commissions, each with its own bloated bureaucracy, or a streamlined federal development structure rooted in the six regions? The NDDC’s track record – marked by massive allocations yet minimal tangible impact – raises serious concerns about inefficiency and fund mismanagement. A centralised framework could enhance oversight, eliminate redundancies, and ensure resources are effectively deployed for real development. Is it time to rethink our approach?#RenewedHope#RenewedHopeIsHere See MoreSee Less
