The All Progressives Congress in the United Kingdom has joined Muslims in Nigeria and the world over to celebrate this auspicious occasion of Eid-el-Fitr and wishes the Almighty Allah’s guidance to show us the right path in life.

In a statement duly signed by the Publicity Secretary of the party in the United Kingdom, Mr Jacob Ogunseye, the party urges Muslims across the world and most especially in Nigeria to keep faith with the leaders in the country and repose their trust in Allah saying the best of Nigeria is almost here.

The statement also quoted the chairman of the party in the UK, J K Adebola who said the spirit behind the holiday reminds everyone that Islam brings hope and comfort to millions of people in Nigeria and billions around the world and stressed that Ramadan is a special occasion to remember that Islam gave birth to an act of worship that has benefited mankind.

Adebola preached to the Muslim faithfuls to consider the holiday period as the time to show love and empathy to all around them irrespective of their religion. ‘Let us use this occasion to show love to others around, the lessons learnt during Ramadan should benefit all, I desire a country where love reigns’

“On this day of rejoicing and bliss, a day of blessing and peace, let us be moderate with the expectation from the incoming government. As he has said earlier, the Renewed Hope for a better and greater and more prosperous Nigeria shall become a reality in our nation while we keep supporting the country”. The statement added.
